Taste Profile

  • A Dynamic Journey: Experience a captivating evolution in your cup—beginning with a clean, crisp note that gracefully unfolds into a profound, honeyed sweetness.

  • Creamy & Vibrant: Enjoy a rich, almost creamy texture paired with a luminous, golden-yellow liquor.

  • The Signature Finish: True to its Mengsong heritage, it offers a remarkable "Huigan"—a sweet, soothing sensation that surges back in the throat long after you sip.

Key Features (Your "Why This Tea")

  • Ancient Legacy in Every Leaf: Sourced from 180-year-old arboreal tea trees in the high mountains (1700-1900m) of Mengsong, a core area known for complex, aromatic teas.

  • Artisan Craft, Modern Enjoyment: Traditionally stone-pressed into a compact cake with dark, lustrous leaves. This method preserves the tea's integrity for a premium experience today and aging potential tomorrow.

  • The Thrill of "Huigan”: We highlight its most exciting trait—the rapid, torrent-like return of sweetness. It’s not just smooth; it’s an engaging, memorable flavor event that sets it apart.

Brewing Guide for the Perfect Cup
To best preserve its floral aroma and prevent bitterness, precise brewing is key.

  1. Awaken the Leaves: Place 4-5 grams of tea in a warm pot. Quickly rinse with 90-95°C (194-203°F) water and discard immediately.

  2. First Infusions: Use 90-95°C water. Start with very short steeps of 10-15 seconds and enjoy the evolving fragrance in each cup.

  3. Later Steeps: Gradually increase steeping time by 5-10 seconds for subsequent brews. This high-quality tea can yield many flavorful infusions.

Why You'll Love It

  • For the Flavor Adventurer: Perfect if you love discovering teas with a clear, rewarding story on your palate—from initial aroma to lasting finish.

  • A Premium Daily Ritual: Elevates any moment into a special tasting experience, whether you're focusing on work or sharing with friends.

  • A Living Tea: As a raw Pu-erh, its character will mellow and deepen with time, making it a rewarding choice for enthusiasts interested in aging.

Raw vs. Ripe Pu-erh

Raw Pu-erh (Sheng) and Ripe Pu-erh (Shou) begin with Yunnan large-leaf tea but develop through different processing and aging methods.

Raw Pu-erh develops gradually through natural aging and generally offers a brighter, fresher, and more aromatic character.

Ripe Pu-erh undergoes controlled post-fermentation and is generally deeper, smoother, and mellower.

The exact aroma, taste, and texture of every tea will vary according to its origin, harvest, age, storage, and brewing method. Please refer to the individual product description for the exact tea type and specifications.

How to Brew Pu-erh Tea

No special teaware is required. A gaiwan, small teapot, or heat-resistant cup can all be used.

  1. Preheat the teaware with hot water.
  2. Add tea according to the size of your vessel and preferred strength.
  3. Briefly rinse the leaves with hot water if desired.
  4. Use freshly boiled water for Ripe Pu-erh. For younger Raw Pu-erh, allow the water to rest briefly after boiling.
  5. Begin with a short 10–15 second infusion and pour it out completely.
  6. Gradually increase the steeping time for later infusions.

Pu-erh tea can usually be infused multiple times. Adjust the water temperature, leaf amount, and steeping time according to your taste.

Storage, Sourcing & Trust

Store Pu-erh tea in a clean, cool, and dry place away from direct sunlight, moisture, excessive heat, and strong odors. Keep the tea in its original packaging or a suitable tea container when not in use.

The origin, harvest, format, and flavor profile vary by product. Please refer to the individual product description and packaging for product-specific information.
